Bromley Shared Service Centre

ISO (the International Organisation for Standardisation) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies. The ISO9001 standard promotes the adoption of a process approach to meet customer expectations when developing, implementing and improving the effectiveness of a quality management system.

The Bromley Centre has successfully retained ISO accreditation since 1996 for its local taxation operations. These include the administration of Council Tax for two London Boroughs and one District Council plus Business Rates for four District Councils and five London Boroughs together with associated IT support. In 2004, the Bromley based Assessment, Policy & Training team was integrated into the Standard to further extend the range of accredited services at the Centre.

All operations are independently assessed by the BSi at 6 monthly intervals to ensure compliance with the standard and that processes and procedures continue to deliver ongoing service improvements and high customer satisfaction levels.
